Project Goal
Positioned outdoors in Downtown Dubai under direct sun (+50°C surface thermal load), any weld distortion or oil-canning on the sweeping double-curved metal skin would immediately warp the reflection of the surrounding skyline.
01.B — How We Made It
How We Made It
Using parametric 3D CAD surface unfolding, we laser-cut an internal structural rib cage from 12 mm stainless steel plate and hydro-formed 3 mm marine-grade AISI 316L outer petals. Every seam was purged and TIG-welded, planished flush, and polished through 12 progressive stages to a true Super-Mirror #8 optical finish.

Shipped in protective steel crating to Dubai and anchored onto a reinforced concrete plinth with concealed chemical bolts and nanoceramic surface sealing.
